26 March 2018 by Eileen

Looking something fun to do this Easter? Why not book your child and you a Breakfast or Tea with Easter Bunny at Wyevale Garden Centres till 15th April 2018? The session lasts for approximately 90 minutes and is suitable for children between 3–8 years old. In this event, you and your little ones will be tucking into a delicious meal, enjoy a bunny hunt with a lot of chocolate treats, receive a cuddly toy & fun activity sheet and get to decorate your very own Easter cookie to bring it home!

Yesterday afternoon, we went to our local Shenstone Wyevale Garden Centre with both children looking forward to checking out this Easter event! When we arrived, we were greeted by their friendly staff and quickly shown to our table, which was tucked away into the corner away from the rest of the restaurant crowd.

Once we settled at our table, we were served with drinks, with tea and coffee for adults, and orange or blackcurrant squash for children. There were activity sheets with crayons for children to entertain themselves before they served our yummy looking tea!

It didn’t take them long to serve us our lunch which was very well organised. For children, they get a choice of a cold or hot meal. Both of them chose the hot meal; crispy chicken nuggets with chips and peas. It was tasty and they both enjoyed it.

As for adults, you can choose to have Afternoon Tea, Mini Tea or Evening meal. We both opted for the evening meal option; Mr C had the fish & chips with garden peas and tartare sauce whilst I went for the cherry tomato, caramelised red onion & Davidstow Cheddar tart with mash and seasonal salad (vegetarian and gluten-free).

Mr C’s fish was very crispy and delicious too. It was a lovely decent size portion. In between, Mary Poppins, Alice from Alice in Wonderland and the staff served us more drinks and entertained the children.

My tart’s pastry was very well made and I loved the crust. The ingredients were delicious too. I would definitely go for it again even though I am not a tart lover. It didn’t take us long to finish it all!

There were seven group of families attending the event. Soon after the whole group finished their tea, we all went for the bunny hunt learning facts about bunnies! Each child was given a paper bag and bunny hunt card. Along our way around the garden centre, children picked up the five hidden bunny facts and they were rewarded with a chocolate egg and stickers for their bunny hunt cards. Both children were super excited, especially as they got five chocolate eggs at the end of the hunt!

We then made our way back to our table where each child received an Easter cookie kit to decorate. The kit contained a plain cookie, two icing pens, chocolate chips and marshmallow pieces. They both enjoyed decorating it and the decorated cookies were then stored back into the kit to bring home!

Before they wrapped up, each child was given a cuddly toy and a photo with the Easter Bunny! The Bunny was so cuddly that all the children wanted to give it a cuddle.

We had a great experience and fantastic time at the garden centre. It was a good value meal and children had so much fun throughout the event. It was a lovely family day out too. I would definitely recommend it. To experience the breakfast or tea with Easter Bunny, do check out your nearest Wyevale garden centre for timings and to book online.

Disclosure: We were invited to the event for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
