As a bilingual family and also an event organizer for Lichfield Mandarin Club, I always try to incorporate Chinese language into children’s activities. We have been running the club for over five years and during this time, children have learnt a range of day-to-day words like flower, egg and many more. To reinforce the children’s knowledge of the words we have learnt this year, I made up a Chinese Easter word hunt activity! Our club night is held in the Tesco community room and since we were already inside a supermarket, we had to make the most of the location and extend the word hunt in store!
Early last week, I made up this Chinese Easter word hunt list. This is to get children to read the Chinese characters and fill in the han yu pin yin, before hunting the real items in store! The word list consists of flower, shampoo, toothpaste, school uniform, apple, strawberry, grapes, fish, spaghetti and egg!
After they filled in the han yu pin yin, we formed three groups to look for the items in store. Ms C loves her Peter Rabbit soft toy from the Cadbury Dairy Milk Peter Rabbit Easter Egg & Toy Pack and decided to take him along! You can also get a Flopsy Rabbit soft toy!
Look at what we have found in store! Not only did the children had fun hunting, they also had fun learning Chinese words!
Mr K especially loves the Egg ‘n’ Spoon! Inside the egg box, it reveals four individually wrapped delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate eggs or Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate eggs with Oreo. Crack the top of the egg and use the spoon provided to enjoy the fluffy mousse centre! We all love Cadbury!
Be sure to hop into your local store and stock up on the tasty Cadbury Easter eggs, especially the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt Super pack (RRP£6.99), which makes putting on an Easter Egg Hunt even easier and more fun than ever before! It contains a selection of Cadbury chocolate treats such as Cadbury Dairy Milk hollow eggs, Cadbury Mini Eggs and Cadbury Dairy Milk bunnies!
Also, check out singer-songwriter and mum of two, Frankie Bridge’s debut storybook, ‘The Tale of The Great Easter Bunny,’ in partnership with Cadbury this Easter! The downloadable book, a re-adaptation of The Tale of the Great Bunny created by Cadbury 20 years ago, celebrates The Easter Bunny and encourages families across the nation to take part in their own magical Easter Egg Hunts together over the Easter season.
The story follows siblings Jack and Molly as they discover a series of mysterious clues and embark on an enchanting Easter Egg Hunt alongside their parents, Tom and Sarah. The tale takes place within the family home but what the family don’t know, is that there is a secret, hidden rabbit-hole at the bottom of their garden… where The Easter Bunny lives. Now The Tale of The Great Easter Bunny is available to download from the Cadbury website! Go on and check it out!
