FFX is one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of high quality tools, fixings & building supplies, based in Folkestone, Kent. FFX sells everything that you need to do any DIY, no matter if it is big or small. They sell all sorts of hand tools, fixings and fasteners, general construction consumables, and gardening equipment to roofing materials.
Shopping in store sometimes can be such a pain if they run out of stock for what you were after. People are increasingly doing more shopping online and choose to get it delivered to their doorstep. It is definitely useful for us as it saves us from transporting the big and bulky items like a fan, especially as we have limited car boot space.
This was my first time shopping at FFX and I like the layout of the website. There are only a few steps to opening an account with them and it didn’t take me long. The website is easy to navigate and I’m pleased to find a lot of branded choices with competitive prices. You can shop by category or by search. Each item comes with a clear description that helps me to make my choice easier. As summer is approaching, I have bought myself a 16″ Desk & Pedestal fan, lawn feed, safety glasses, UniBond sealant and a Karcher brush.
The buying process was simple and straightforward. Simply add them into the basket and checkout. You have two options to pay, either by cards (Visa, JCB, Mastercard or Mastro) or PayPal. I used the latter to pay the balance. I am thrilled that they offer free delivery with no minimum spending. Do note that some bulky items and certain postcodes may incur a surcharge.
I bought the items on Monday night and I received an email telling me when it was picked and dispatched. Then on Wednesday morning, I received another email confirming that it would arrive on Thursday morning. As promised, I did receive them on time and in good condition. It is definitely great communication between customer and company. I did have a ‘hiccup’ with one item not arriving and the customer service responded very quickly which is very assuring.
This versatile fan is made from durable material with 3 height stages and 3 speeds. It stands very sturdily and is easy to install. The fan feels quite industrial and is very loud on the top speed. I do like that it is very easy to converts the fan between a stand, low stand and desk fan with no need for tools. Now I can’t wait to do DIY around my house and get them fix!
Overall I am very pleased and impressed with FFX. It offers lots of items and I would recommend them.
