Silly Sausage Review

19 November 2016 by Eileen

Recently, Silly Sausage was voted one of the top 12 Dream Toys 2016 by leading toy retailers.  This silly game is a super speedy reaction family game from John Adams where players respond to commands from the foot-long red plastic sausage!  It is suitable for children aged 7 and above.

This sausage featuring 10 grilling games, and three play modes; single, party and turbo, Silly Sausage is suitable for solo or competitive play.  The aim of the game is to twist, shake, dip, stretch and poke to keep up with Silly Sausage as he shouts out his commands.  The higher the level, the faster the pace, so you had better listen up!

There is an on/off switch at the back of the sausage.  Once you switch it on, you have to select the games: Chipolata, Banger or Jumbo, by pressing his belly button to select.  His five commands are Shake Me, Stretch Me, Twist Me, Poke Me and Dip Me.

Chipolata is a speed and reaction game.  There are four modes to play: single, party, single turbo and party turbo.  We love playing with this!  This is all about reaction.  The sound is quite loud and clear as long as your hands are not covering the speaker that can be found on the bottom of the sausage.

Banger is a pass and play reaction game where there are only two modes: party and party turbo.  This is like passing the parcel except instead of unwrapping it, you have to react correctly to his commands by poking, twisting, dipping, stretching or shaking it.

The final game is Jumbo which is a memory game.  It comes with four modes: single, party, single turbo and party turbo.  You have to repeat the sausage’s commands in the correct sequence to win the game!

This sausage is lightweight and comfortable to be hold by either hand.  It is also very adorable!  It requires 2 AA batteries (demo batteries are included).  It will reset the high scores when you change the batteries. The device will turn itself off after a period of inactivity.  To wake him, poke his belly button and he will say Silly Sausage and is ready for you to select a game or mode.

Overall we all love this and it is a great party game to get everyone reacting!  I would definitely recommend it.  Silly Sausage is available from good toy stores and Amazon.  For a list of stockists, call John Adams on 01480 414361 or visit www.johnadams.co.uk
