It is published by Alison Green Books (publisher for Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler among others) and printed by Scholastic Children’s Books on 1st January 2015. It is available to buy via Amazon and good book stores. This book is very colourful and beautifully illustrated. The book is paperback containing about 32 pages and contains fonts of various sizes.
This book is about Chips the Royal dog who is always getting into trouble because he just can’t stop chewing everyone’s shoe. One night, Chips captures a burglar by chewing his boots, and suddenly he’s a Royal doggy hero.
Both of my children enjoyed the book and of course they love Chips’ cheeky character. Chips is a lovely dog who loves stinky shoes! I love how the author phrases the words. It is very easy to read and understand. My six year old son was able to read it well. This book is suitable for young children to read.
