Smart Gloves

17 March 2013 by Eileen

The Smart Gloves – Touch Glove are a pair of gloves designed for use with touchscreens devices. They are one size fits all and available in black or pink and we received the black pair for review. They work by having special conductive material woven into the tips of the forefinger, middle finger and thumb to allow you to use your touchscreen as normal.

I tried the gloves on various touchscreen devices and found that they worked really effectively on all including an iPad, Android phones using capacitive screens and a Garmin sat nav which uses a resistivity screen.

Prior to trying to them on, one of my main concerns were that the tips may feel rough and therefore scratch the screens but these fears were unfounded. They are very soft to touch and they are a snug fit for my medium sized hands. I think this helps to have a finer control when using your touchscreen devices, though people with large hands may find the gloves a bit too tight.

The only downside I found was that I wished the gloves were a little bit longer at the wrist section to cover more of my wrist as this will become exposed quite easily, depending on the length of your sleeves. Not a big issue though, and I would rate this product 4 stars out of 5.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Hello!

Welcome to ET Speaks From Home!

Hi, I’m Eileen — a mum of two teenagers, aged 18 and 17, and a passionate lifestyle blogger sharing snippets of family life, creativity, and culture since May 2012. My daughter lives with visual impairment, and our journey together has shaped much of the heart behind this blog.

What started as a small space to document family memories has grown into a vibrant corner of the internet where I share my love for cooking, crafting, DIY projects, Chinese culture, parenting, and honest product and YouTube reviews. Whether I’m creating festive crafts, exploring Chinese traditions, or trying out new recipes, I hope to inspire others through everyday moments from home.

Over the years, ET Speaks From Home has been recognised by several parenting and blogging communities, including:
