Web Shooting Spider-Man

16 November 2012 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Today, I got to review this Amazing Spider-Man Motorized Web Shooting figure for the Dream Toys Play Fest. The Spider-Man is highly detailed on his costume and has ripping muscle. It stands at a whopping 34cm tall. All 4 limbs are able to rotate 360 degrees but it’s impossible to pose the figure to make him standing.  The head moves from side to side when you launch the web shooter. Suitable for four year old and above.

Web Shooting Spider-Man

This is our review video:

The Spider-Man fires from his web shooters at the touch of a button which you can find on his back.  There are two buttons: one for right hand and one for left hand. The web shooting is made from a 20p size plastic attached at the end of a long grey cord. Spider-Man will launch one web shooter forward, whilst the other will draw back into his hand. Each time you launch, it make a shooting sound. The web shooter don’t shoot out with great force which is great as some children might accidentally aim at each other faces.

It comes with a thin coloured cardboard lizard villain for the children to use as target practice.  Personally, I would not bother about using the cardboard because when it goes down, you have to slot back the cardboard stand back in to make it stand again. I would suggest using other toys as villains.

This Spider-Man toy doesn’t come with any batteries, so you’ll need to get your hands on 4 x AAA before he can fire his web shooters.

The toy seems robust and well made but retails at £34.99 which I don’t think is good value for money. It is limited to how it can be played with and what the toy can do. So I would only recommend any Spider-Man fans to only buy when this toy is on sale. I rate 2.5 out of 5 stars.
