This coming half term, come and join the loveable Cleo on his furry adventure to discover the true meaning of friendship when CLEO scampers onto DVD and Digital Download on 15th February 2016. It is available to buy online, good stores and Amazon.
CLEO features an all-star voice cast including Ross Lynch (Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally) and Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy) as well as the worldwide debut of ‘Hymn’, a brand new song from international superstar Celine Dion.
This is an animation story about eleven-year old Luke and Sophie who, aided by Cleo the dog, rally the children of the town in a snowball fight to claim the rights to their precious fort during the winter school break. Sophie and her cohorts defend an elaborate snow fort against the assault of Luke’s horde. Whichever side occupies the fort at the end of the winter break, wins. But what starts out as pure youthful fun and enthusiasm deteriorates into a more serious conflict. Joy is restored when all the children decide to attack the fort rather than each other and happily destroy every last bit of the snow fort.
The overall story starts at a slow pace and is easy to watch. It gets quite exciting when they start defending and building their fort. It is a lovely story to enjoy watching with younger children during a snowy day. Both my children enjoyed watching it but were a little restless at the start. Cleo is a lovable dog and she adds a lot of fun to the storyline. The soundtrack is great at bringing out the scenes of the movie, and Hymn by Celine Dion is especially notable.
