When is the last time you cleaned your windows? I have to be honest that it has been almost a year since I cleaned ours! I do hate cleaning windows as it takes a long time to do properly. Firstly, you have to wash it with warm soapy water, then wipe the water away and finish by using a dry cloth to make sure there is no water mark left on the window. In the end, I will end up with 2 buckets of water, 2 cloths and maybe a paper towel!
Did you know that every year in the UK alone, we throw away 4.2 million tonnes of good food every year? I have to admit that we have been guilty of throwing away food especially when we were hosting a party or on the occasions that we forgot about the food in the cupboard or fridge!

There are many times that I find using a ziplock bag to store food is not ideal because they tear easily in the freezer (especially those bought from cheap stores and of poor quality) or they don’t keep the food fresh at all. So having seen the FoodSaver demonstration at the Home Show, it made me wonder if I really needed one for my family.
After giving it much thought, the answer is yes. It’s helpful in a number of ways – it helps keep food fresh for a very long time, it can also be a space saver for your fridge or freezer, it means you cook only the portion that you need and you can also boil the bag in low temperature.
Every Christmas, I find it hard to look for the perfect presents for family and friends as there are so many gift ideas. But I found a great solution with Vileda!
If you are a regular reader, you may know that I love cleaning. People who come to my house always said it is immaculate. Yes, I always clean and mop the house. I have a number of gadgets that are constantly in use such as the steam mop, handheld vacuum cleaner and washing machine. I always wish that I have more time to relax than just cleaning the whole house. Cleaning can take hours at a time! If only I had a helping hand, I could just relax and do more baking!
If you are a fan of racing cars or The Gadget Show, you may have seen Anki DRIVE (as shown on The Gadget Show on 13th October). This is truly the best interactive car racing game. My husband and son are huge fans of racing cars and this Anki DRIVE has taken car model racing sets to a whole new level.
Not only do you race each other, it is also part of a combat zone where players try to outsmart you! It truly is a great family activity, which gets you talking and interacting. We have received the cars plus the starter kit which comes with: 2 robot cars with 2 charging cases (Boson and Kourai), race track, power cord with adaptor and tyre cleaner.

Earlier this year, I was attended Britsmum Live and met Nigel Camp thru his Hands-on Video session where he gave us tips on how to make better videos. It was a very impressive and powerful talk. He gave me encouragement and ideas on how to create better content for my videos. Comparing my older videos to the present ones, I think I have taken most of his advice on board. My latest video is no longer just the product on its own. I have come out of my shell to show the audience who is behind those big hands. Also I don’t just take the same angled shots. I’ve experimented shooting at different angles to emphasise the product.
Since his session, I invested in developing my own intro (at the start of my video reviews) to tell people about my website and brand. I also have an outro to tell people my social media avenues and where to subscribe my channel. Do click here if you wish to subscribe!
I believe that using video is a lot easier to show your audience your brand and product. I enjoyed vlogged and hope to improve on creating great video reviews.
When is the last time you checked your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm? Own up time – we checked ours a couple of times after we moved into our new house but haven’t checked our smoke alarm for a few years! Without a prompt or a reminder, it had not crossed my mind as it becomes inconspicuous. Also, we only installed our carbon monoxide alarm early last year due to our boiler broke down but we haven’t checked it since.
Love a toy box for storing all sorts of junk and love a desk for playing or learning? Kidsplaykit sells this ingeniously designed flower toy box and desk serves both these purposes. Time passes so quickly – I can’t believe both of my children are now in Primary school. I can still vividly remember how tiny and soft their skin were when they were newborns. I chose to be a SAHM the moment my son, Mr K was born as I wanted to treasure every moment with him. I am so glad that I made the right choice to sacrifice my career so that I can experience each of their milestones.
Mr K was not an easy baby as he had reflux. He often cried for hours and hours after his milk and then he would puke on himself, us and everywhere around the house. Our washing machine never had a days rest as we had to wash his baby sick-stained clothing, bed sheets and ours too! Since day 1, we have been using Fairy non-bio washing power and conditioner on both children’s clothing as we would like to give them the softest materials for their skin.
