After a really busy few days busy with play dates, a Twitter party and reading challenges, we didn’t have time to do the letter H. So now we are back on track on Summer Activities!

Continuing our A – Z summer activities, yesterday was the letter G so we are over a quarter of the way. As I mentioned on the letter F post, my paternal grandma had passed away. She was the last of my parents’ parents and was over 90 years old. Now we have only three generations in my family. It is such a shame that my children have not seen their great grandma for two years now – since the last time we were in Singapore. Also we won’t be able to rush back to Singapore in time for her funeral as Chinese funeral lasts for 5-7 days.
We survived the first day of the holidays! We are now counting down for our family holiday to come! Working through the alphabet, we did letter A previously and yesterday, we did letter B. We had a lot of letter B activities!
Can you believe the summer holidays will be here in just a couple more weeks! Have you been planning what to do with your children? Why not stock up on summer crafts, to spend time during the break with your children? We often have craft kits at home which are great to do together during rainy days and in a kit form, it’s nice that all the relevant materials are included.
As part of Baker Ross bloggers, we often receive great craft kits from them and this month, we have received a range of summer themed craft kits. We were provided sea life spiral notebook kit, paracord bracelet kits, glitter sand bags, seaside sand art pictures, dinosaur wooden photo frames, farm stampers and rainbow unicorn charm bracelet kits.
This summer, Meadow Kids is giving away this amazing Summer Giveaway of Floating Activity Scenes. This includes the Diggers and Dumpers Floating Activity Scene and Farmyard Floating Activity Scene. These Activity Scenes are perfect to construct the pieces together to make your very own backdrop and begin hours of fun at the seaside! Not only that, you could also use it to create a story! Crafts are always a great way to entertain a bunch of children especially during a party. We often find that whenever we have friends and their children over, our home quickly becomes a madhouse especially with our children as ringleaders. So by giving them something to do like group activities, it helps to ease the noise and mess in the house.
Baker Ross have recently sent me their new spring crafts collections which include the Sealife decoration Sewing Kits, Monster Scratch Art Magnets, Mermaid Weaving Bookmark Kits, Ceramic Gnomes, Coloured Sequins and many more.
Each kit is well packed and they are also great for party bags. They are very well priced and great value. The kits are easy to follow and make. They are always of good quality and come with full instructions.
Last week, we had a birthday party and each child were given a kit to do with their parents. They were all very pleased doing it.
The monster scratch art magnets were a big hit. They all love to scratch and made funny designs on their monsters.
This summer, we had so much fun and laughter! We did the summer activities A – Z and holidayed in Singapore! But not forgetting our Skylanders! They are still one of the PS3 games my son Mr K loves! He has targeted getting all the characters in each element by saving his pocket money. Over the summer, there are quite a few character deals online and he bought some to add into his collection.
Thanks to Skylanders for sending through the activities book, sunglasses and beach towel! Have you been wondering what the Skylanders have been up to this summer? Check out this epic sand sculpture of Kaos! How cool is that! His minions created to honour their boss on Gandia Beach in Spain! This is such an awesome sand sculpture! I bet a lot of fans would love to take a photo with him!
