Lumora Personalised Storybook Review and Giveaway

1 October 2026 by Eileen 12 Comments

Parents, listen up! Do you know how important it is to read with your children? Experts say that reading to children helps build essential language skills, supports brain development, provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and strengthens emotional skills.

I’ve always loved personalised books for children. There are many established websites that offer them, but today I’d like to introduce you to a new personalised children’s book website: Lumora.

Lumora Personalised Storybook Review

Lumora creates personalised children’s books in which each child is the hero. The stories are designed to feel like real bedtime favourites, with carefully paced writing, detailed illustrations, read-aloud narration, safety checks, support for multiple languages, and worldwide printing.

Lumora Personalised Storybook front page

The company emphasises privacy and care: children’s photos aren’t used to train AI, sold, or used for advertising, and can be deleted on request. If your hardcover arrives damaged, Lumora will reprint and ship a replacement for free. The first story is free, with no credit card required. Refunds are available within seven days, and customers keep their stories if they cancel. Lumora also promises direct support and access to the data it holds, along with tools to delete it. The books are made with love and powered by AI.

Lumora is for children aged 1 to 12. Its books are organised into four reading tiers: toddler (ages 1–3), preschool (4–5), early reader (6–7), and older reader (8–12).

How It Works

It’s as easy as ABC. First, tell Lumora your child’s name, age, gender, favourite colours, and share photos and details about the things that make them light up. You can choose from 11 languages: English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Arabic, and German.

Then choose a theme, such as bedtime, adventure, fantasy, wisdom tale, friendship, or birthday. If you’re not sure what to pick, you can browse the sample stories for ideas before deciding. The free first story has limited choices.

Within minutes, Lumora creates a storybook for your child. If there are any errors, you can ask the AI to edit the story. Once you’re happy with it, you can read it on screen, listen to it, or download it as a PDF. If you’d prefer a keepsake book, you can order one for $49.99. It’s a matte hardcover with thick, lay-flat pages, printed and shipped worldwide.

Lumora Personalised Storybook

Alternatively, you can choose a monthly or yearly subscription for $14.99 per month or $99 per year. You’ll receive four new stories each month, with narration and PDFs, plus a birthday story each year.

I received the book within two weeks, although delivery can sometimes take up to four weeks. I created a book for Ms C using one photo of her, and Lumora cleverly turned it into a beautiful storybook. My first impression was excellent. The book is printed to a high standard, and every page features a beautifully coloured illustration. The pages are thick and smooth to the touch, and they’re not easy to tear. The book measures about 22 cm × 24 cm × 2 cm.

I love it and would definitely recommend Lumora. I’d use it again for friends and relatives in the future.

Lumora is giving one of my readers the chance to win a code for a personalised storybook for their child. Good luck, and enter below!

What a lovely giveaway! Personalised storybooks are such a wonderful way to get children excited about reading. We love how they see their own name in the story — it makes the whole experience so much more magical and engaging. Would love to win this for my little one!
