Kellogg’s Unleashes Ancient Legends Range

14 March 2016 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Recently, Kellogg’s unleashed a brand new Ancient Legends range of delicious granolas, mueslis and cereals onto the shelves of British supermarkets. These six new Ancient Legends products, which come in colourful re-sealable pouches, take their name from the ancient grains and seeds such as spelt, chia and flax that make up the product.

The two varieties of muesli are: Puffed Spelt, Pumpkin & Sunflower Seeds, Sultana & Flax Seeds (450g) and Quinoa, Apple, Cranberry & Chia Seeds (450g). The two varieties of granola are: Spelt, Cranberry, Sultana & Flax Seeds (400g) and Rye, Chia Seeds, Sultana & Pumpkin Seeds (400g). Finally the two varieties of cereal are: Rye, Cranberry, Almond & Flax Seeds (320g) and Spelt, Apple, Sultana & Chia Seeds (320g).

kelloggs ancient legends reviewSpelt, which features in three Ancient Legends varieties, was grown to feed the armies of the Roman Empire, and was renowned for its wholesomeness and nourishing qualities. In fact, Roman legionaries ate one third of a ton of grain per year!

  1. Puffed Spelt, Pumpkin & Sunflower Seeds, Sultana & Flax Seeds Muesli

I enjoyed eating this very much. The combination of the dried fruits and seeds works very well.

  1. Spelt, Cranberry, Sultana & Flax Seeds Granola

This is very crunchy and definitely works well with cranberry which gives it a natural sweetness.

  1. Spelt, Apple, Sultana & Chia Seeds Cereal

I love eating this plain and enjoying the crunchiness. There is no need to add any honey or other toppings, the cereal is tasty enough!

I enjoyed these three varieties and would definitely eat them again. The mixes are unique and tasty. They are crunchy and very moreish!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
