Every October is the International Walk To School month where primary school pupils from across the UK join forces with children in more than 40 countries worldwide to celebrate the benefits of walking to school.
Even though we have to drive to another village, I park at the local pub car park and walk to school. Some of the parents do that and we often chat while walking together to school.
As autumn is here and the weather is getting colder, my family were thrilled to try out Hi-Gear jackets from Go Outdoors. These jackets are lightweight and comfortable to wear which will keep you warm at the right temperature. There is no more sweating inside a thick layer of coats. These jackets are just perfect for this weather!
Ms C is wearing this cute reversible Hi-Gear Transformer Girl’s insulated jacket and Mr K is wearing this cosy Hi-Gear Transformer Boy’s insulated jacket.
Both of these jackets with hoods are reversible and will definitely keep both children very happy! Mr K said that if the sun shines, he will wear the yellow colour and if it cloudy or raining, he will wear the blue colour.
Ms C has an adorable owl print on hers but her school won’t allow her to wear jackets with prints. So she is happy to wear the purple colour for now! These jackets can be packed away into their own pockets for easy storage and small enough to put them in their school bags. There are reflective details on the front and back which help them to stay seen when it begins to get darker.
I love the material as it is so silky smooth and lightweight. Even though it is lightweight, the material still keeps them warm and comfortable at the same time. The seams are very neatly stitched.
These jackets come with durable water repellent treatment which keeps them protected if caught out in a light shower. These jackets are £25 RRP which is great value for money. They are so comfortable to wear! I would definitely recommend them.
Next, Mr C has this Medium size blue Hi-Gear Men’s PackLite jacket. This jacket is packed with 700 fill power down insulation ensuring you stay warm over the winter season. A Durable Water Repellent finish on the outer face will shed any light showers, whilst the fabric is also down proof to help prevent any feather loss. This casual fit jacket looks superb and will keep you nice and warm.
This can be packed down surprisingly small and the left hand pocket is also an integrated stuff sack, complete with a hanging loop and identity patch. At the bottom of the jacket are two adjustable hem draw cords.
Thanks to these cosy jackets, we can all walk to school in comfort! So have you been taking part in walking to school?
