Alive! Multi-vitamin Review

29 January 2015 by Eileen Leave a Comment

This year 2015, I was invited for two fitness challenges which is to trial Epson Pulsense watch and Alive! Women’s energy multi-vitamin.

I have to say that going to the gym or any form of exercise is definitely not my cup of tea. My weight has been like a yo-yo since young. This year, I wanted to be different! So I am thrilled to trial Alive! multi-vitamin to give me the boost that I needed.

Alive! is already a huge hit in the US and is launching in the UK this coming February. Do look out for them. What’s so different about Alive is that it is the only multi-vitamin and mineral brand available in the UK containing a proprietary dried blend of 26 fruits & vegetables including, pomegranate, acai berry, cranberry, blueberry, strawberry, beetroot, carrot, cabbage and apple. It does not contain gluten, soya, dairy, yeast, artificial flavourings or colours.

Each Alive! product is specially formulated for men, women and children from 3 years, taking into consideration their unique needs and ensuring that it is the best and most comprehensive available to the UK consumer.

alive reviewThere are 5 different products in the market: Women’s Energy, Women 50+, Men’s Energy, Men 50+ and Chewable. Each product comes with a safety cap. The Alive! range is priced at RRP £8.99 for 30 once daily tablets (one month’s supply) and is available to buy from Holland & Barrett, Boots and www.feelaliveuk.com

Mr C is trialling the Men’s Energy, Mr K is trialling the Children’s Chewable whilst I am trialling the Women’s Energy. The three bottles look very similar so we’ve had to be quite careful especially for the men and women as both tablets look exactly the same!

The Men’s energy is filled with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and B12 to support energy levels and vitamin C and Zinc to keep the immune system in good shape. It also contains L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid, together with Korean Ginseng. Mr C plays badminton twice a week and while it he hasn’t noticed any direct energy boost on court, his view is that it should be helping maintain his overall energy levels.

The Alive! children’s chewable come in a delicious berry flavour. They are like those mini love heart sweets. They are easy to chew and slightly chalky. Mr K enjoys his vitamin every morning. He is as active and energetic as always, and fingers crossed, illness free. Besides his usual after-school activities like Chinese club, swimming, karate, we have been quite active indoors. Both children have been rock climbing in an instructor-led club. Also as a family, we went to our local council swimming pool for a fun session, played badminton and danced along with the Just Dance game on the PlayStation over the weekend. They also love playing ‘wheelbarrow’ at home!

rock climblingAs for me, I am taking the Women’s Energy which contains 22 essential vitamins and minerals providing great all round support enabling women to cope better with their busy lives. Since early this year, I have been setting myself a goal to do at least 30 minutes of exercise. Each morning or night, I set myself 30 – 1 hour of me time to do exercise at least 5 days a week. From walking in the first few days to start gently my body off gently to setting foot in the local gym. I am proud of myself that I’ve kept this challenge/new year resolution going so far. Also as mentioned above, we also do indoor sports together over the weekend.

exercise fitness epson pulsenseAfter each exercise, I carry on doing my usual household duties like buying groceries, cleaning the house, cooking tea etc. Since having the vitamins, I find myself having more time to stay active. I think this is partly to do with a change in mindset and routine but also I think the Alive multi-vitamins help.

I would recommend this product as it contains a proprietary dried blend of 26 fruits & vegetables instead of unexplained chemical products, it is affordable (around 30p per tablet) and easy to get it in shops or online.

Disclosure: We have received the samples to do an honest review.
