Recently, I was put in touch with the lovely lady from Malcolm & Gerald (M&G). They have recently launched their online kid’s personalised clothing boutique. It was named after Malcolm the monkey and Gerald the giraffe, the beloved companions of Alex (aged 6) and Charlie (aged 2). They (the boys not the toys!) were the inspiration for the M&G clothing line. Their boys liked nothing more than clothes and accessories with their names on. Everyone who saw their boys wearing the M&G designs seemed to love them too. That is why they started the line to design more outfits for children that incorporate their names.
I ordered the clothing and they arrived very quickly. When I opened it up, they were packaged in a nicely wrapped cardboard tube with their logo printed on the tub. I love the idea of clothing coming in a tube as it gift-ready and saves you from wrapping it!
Mr K loves the idea of personalised clothing so I had ordered a personalised t-shirt 7-8 year old for him. I went for the KAPOW blue t-shirt with white/yellow/red, personalised with his name. Mr K is very pleased with it and has since been wearing it at every opportunity.
The size of the clothing is true to age. It is slightly big for Mr K as he has just turned 7. There is plenty of room to grow. Also, I have washed it at 40°C and it has kept its original shape. It is made from 100% cotton jersey and the sizes are available for children aged 2-12 years, with short sleeves.
Next, I ordered an Angel Wings size 5-6 years old t-shirt for Ms C. This t-shirt is also made from 100% cotton jersey and available for children aged 2-12 years, with short sleeves. The front of the t-shirt is plain and on the back , there are pink printed wings. Ms C loves her T-shirt (she loves wearing her fancy dress fairy wings). I love the idea of angel wings but I think the front needs some design as it is too plain. Also the printed wings attract a lot of dust too and requires using a clothes roller to remove the dust. But this t-shirt does keep Ms C very happy! She’s delighted with the wings and the fact they are pink!
