New products from Actimel for Kids

11 September 2014 by Eileen 2 Comments

Last weekend, we very lucky to get invited to Actimel for kids launch event at L’atelier des Chefs cookery school in Central London. We set off quite early in the morning and caught the train.

Actimel have launched a new delicious recipe with fun bottle for children. It available in three flavours: strawberry, raspberry and vanilla. They are great as a tasty accompaniment to breakfast, lunch box or as part of an after-school snack. It comes in a convenient 100g bottle that is packed with yummy yogurt, billions of L.casei live cultures, fruit puree and essential nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D. It is also free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives and is set to be a firm favourite with mums and kids alike.

Mr K and I tried all three different flavours and we love them all. They are very creamy, sweet and easy to drink. It comes in a small bottle that is perfect for lunch boxes.

Besides tasting the yummy Actimel yogurts, we were also invited to learn from Mask Northeast on how to create fun and interesting lunches for children. He first created space rocket bread to cheer up his son who didn’t want anything for lunch. His son loved it and soon he created more cartoon-themed funky lunches. Since then he has also published two books helping parents and children to get them to eat fruits and vegetables!

mark northeast workshop actimelI was absolutely surprised that Ms C who had never eaten a cucumber nor cheese managed to eat them on the spot. I am over the moon that Ms C has shown an interest in her vegetables after the workshop! I believe that getting children to get involved in designing their own lunch, they are more inclined to eat it all! I should have learnt how to create more creative lunches earlier!

These are their beautiful creations that we learnt from Mark! Thanks to him and Actimel for helping my children to become more interested in their food and to get them to be more creative!
