Madness always starts early in this household. Ms C (5 years old) is learning the art of the lie-in but Mr K (6 years old) is a consistent early riser. The time for myself is normally during school hours and after they sleep.
My usual routine is to finish the housework and prepare and cook lunch/dinner while listening to Chinese music from my favourite Singaporean radio station via an app on my iPad. Once finished, I can relax and will often chat on Facebook and Twitter. It can be random people from Twitter or my friends from Facebook for any gossip or news from England or back in Singapore.
The days of having an indulgent long bath with wine and scented candles are long gone since parenthood. Now using a fragrance diffuser plus a quick shower is my next best thing. I love to have diffusers around the house as it give continuous aromas around the house. I always have different fragrances in each room. I think it helps to give a different theme to each room and it will also ensure I won’t get immune to the scents.
This is my first time using this Pied a terre set of 3 mini diffusers from House of Fraser. The fragrances are Iris & Vetiver; Plum & Black Amber; and Fig Leaf & Cassis. It comes with a bold floral print upon a deep grey, making this product gift-ready.
The Iris & Vetiver is a classic feminine oriental notes with a heart of iris, rose and jasmine; a sensual base of moss, vetiver and sweet amber completes the fragrance. The Plum & Black Amber is a heavenly fruity rich plum laced with sensual black amber and dark musk accords. The Fig Leaf & Cassis entwine fruity cassis and redcurrant with a base of white cedar and a hint of creamy coconut adds depth. Each reed diffuser comes in 50 ml bottles which will last up to 2 months. The bottles are clear and they come with a bundle of black scent sticks. They do look very sleek.
I also love to watch TV dramas and movies as part of my ‘me’ time routine with Mr C. So what do you like to do in your time to yourself?
