Look at my Scotch Magic Tape Dispenser Dog!

11 September 2013 by Eileen 2 Comments

I am an animal lover and especially love dogs!  Scotch has launched a simple and quirky design that will put a smile on any animal lover’s face with its innovative twist on the traditional tape dispenser.  It is a dispenser dog!

I’m totally in love with this design.  It is made from plastic and the cover comes off nice and easily for replacing the tape.  I love the red bowl where I am able to put paper clips, pins, blu-tac etc.
Inside the dog, they have provided a 19mm x 8.89m roll of Scotch Magic tape.  It is a matte-finish tape, which becomes almost invisible on paper.  It can be written over with pen, pencil or a marker pen and is great for labelling too.  It is a very good quality tape!
Mr K and Ms C both tried it and found it easy to use.  Although the cutter is sharp, it is quite safe for the children to use.
As the dog is quite light weight, we need to place our hand over the dog to prevent him from sliding away while we get the tape.  The bone does come out if you pull the tape too hard or in the wrong direction so be careful.  So far, we only had the one instance when Ms C pushed it too hard and the bone flew out.
Overall we all love the dog as it is very unique and cute innovation.  Both the children were fighting over who is having the dog.  The dog is available from Tesco and Staples with an RRP of £8.99.  Also do note that it only takes small rolls of tape (19mm x 8.89m).  I did try it with other brands and it did not work.

Disclosure: We were given this product to do an honest review.
