How can a bloggers’ night in be without pampering ourselves! After all the food and games we played, we settled ourselves and painting our nails. Some of us tried the Models Own Midori Melon-scented nail polish. The colour is too bight for my liking otherwise it is a nice polish and is easy to apply.
We received a range of beauty products to use and this is what we think about them.
I used these on my daughter:
Johnson’s Baby Easy-Rinse Foaming Shampoo
I love that it comes in a pump as it is very easy to use. The foam has a very sweet scent.
Johnson’s Baby Light Oil Spray
The oil is quite watery and easy to absorb. I used it on her skin after showering to keep her moisturised. Using the spray is lot easier as you won’t be pouring too much out compared to the open top. Sometimes I use it to apply on my hair and it’s nice that it doesn’t come up as being greasy.
Love Boo Detangling Spray
This is a great product and an easy recommendation. I had tried so many different detangling products on Ms C’s hair and every time she woke up, her hair would get tangled. Since we used started using this we don’t have any problem as her hair is very silky. I did sprayed a lot to cover all her hair. It contains argan oil and fig to help release knots and de-frizz. Papaya and coconut extracts add shine and hydrates. The scent is very lovely too! They also have a shampoo and conditioner in this range. RRP £11.99
Aquaint Anti-Bacterial
Aquaint kills 99.9% bacteria, germs and viruses. They are 100% natural, water-based, alcohol free and environmentally friendly. It is ideal for use on sensitive skin from birth. It has no odour, no colour, very slight taste (safe if accidentally swallowed), no stickiness and no residue, and no need to rinse it off. They are great to pop it in the nappy bag or handbag. RRP £2.49
I used these on myself:
Nelsons Arnicare Bath & Massage Balm
I am very impressed with the balm. It is not overly greasy and is easy to absorb. Add 2 full caps under running water for a luxurious milky bath. I normally prefer showers rather than baths so I just applied a bit of it on skin under the shower and massaged. It is soothing and relaxing. Evening primrose and rich sweet almond oil naturally hydrate the skin, whilst lavender and grapefruit essential oils help calm senses and relax the mind. I love the smell, it is gorgeous. The only downside of the product is the bottle cap. I wish the cap was more like a tomato sauce’s top which would be much easier to pour without wastage. RRP £8.15
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Skin Therapy Oil
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore and Shine
This facial wash unclogs pores and visibly reduces shine. I has a fabulous sweet scent of lime and tangerine! It is best to apply it on a wet face than dry as it makes it easier to apply. Once rinsed off, it left my skin very clean.
Green People Vita Min Fix
I love the scent, and that it has a good consistency and is quick to absorb. The cream is alcohol-free and is a 24-hour cream for normal, dry and tired skin. It is great for our Muslim friend and is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Teatree Lavender Mint Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner
Halo Eye Make-up Remover Pads
The pad is soft and easy to use to remove make up. I like the shape and material of the pad. It is so comfortable. It comes in a pocket-sized pack. It is tough enough to remove even waterproof mascara but I don’t use mascara, so am unable to comment on that. SSP £1.99 from Tesco, Superdrug and independent pharmacies.
Once again thanks to all the companies that sent these products through.
